The team behind Fiction Beer announced they are working on a second location of its literary-themed concept, coming to Parker at 19523 Hess Road, Unit 103. Owners Ryan Kilpatrick and Christopher Belila told What Now Denver that they are nearing the end of the construction phase at the site.

In the company’s announcement on social media, it explained that an opening date will be coming soon. The new location will have a six-barrel brewing system and operations will be overseen by head brewer Brandon Kerr. There will be over a dozen beers on tap and non-alcoholic options available, too.

Fiction Beer Parker has submitted permits for a deck on the west side of the building and an exterior sign. They are getting ready to install a bar top, community table, and standing bars, Belila explained.

He said they signed the lease for this second spot in March. After having a very successful last nine years at the original location on East Colfax, they were ready to expand. This new venue will be a reflection of that — with a book bar that has more than 1,100 novels, a lending library with hundreds of books, and a comfy “living room” style setup to relax, read, and sip some brews.

“Fiction Beer Company is a tale about a book dork and beer geek who decided to rewrite the Colorado beer scene by combining the two wonderfully imaginative crafts of beer and literature together. Each of our beers is inspired by our favorite books and tells a story of their own,” Kilpatrick told What Now Denver.
