A beloved Fort Collins institution is undergoing a major transformation. Everyday Joe’s, a java shop at 144 S Mason St, will be reborn as The Neighbor, a versatile coffeehouse and event space, according to Biz West.

Everyday Joe’s closed in September 2023 after 20 years of operation. This transition into The Neighbor marks a new chapter for the historic space. There has not yet been an opening date announced.

The Neighbor is being brought to life by RGH Hospitality LLC, a partnership between Sam Hummel, Connor Garland, and Alexandra Ruiz. Hummel is a residential real estate broker, Garland volunteered at Everyday Joe’s, and Ruiz is a seasoned professional in the luxury wedding industry.

Renovations are currently in progress, with updates to mechanical and electrical systems, a patio extension, and new furnishings. The renovation will preserve the building’s historic charm, featuring exposed brick, wooden rafters, and natural light.

High-quality coffee, craft beers, wine, and cocktails will be on the menu at the establishment. In addition to its cafe operations, The Neighbor will function as a multi-use event space, hosting weddings, office parties, and other gatherings, as well as live music.
