Local operation Grist Brew Co. announced recently that it will be closing its two locations at the end of this month. Living the Dream Brewing announced it will take the spots — at 9150 Commerce Center Cir. in Highlands Ranch and  8155 Piney River Ave. in Littleton — over.

In addition to taking over the leases, Living the Dream is also buying Grist’s assets. Grist was founded 10 years ago and operates the taproom in Highlands Ranch and Grist Lounge in the Sterling Ranch neighborhood.

Living the Dream Brewing, which was started in 2014, has been looking to move from its Littleton space on Dumont Way for a while now, the founder told the Denver Post. The skiing-themed bar is a pet-friendly concept that partners with local food trucks to feed hungry patrons.

Last year, Living the Dream won several awards in the 2022 Denver International Beer Competition and at the 2022 U.S. Beer Open Championship. The company, which sells its products across the state, also donated over $11,000 to charity.
