A new Middle Eastern eatery called Shawarma House is coming to town, according to community posts on Reddit. Located at 1412 S Parker Rd, Unit A-126, it will serve an untapped market of those looking for authentic doner kabobs.
City records confirm the project is underway. A commercial tenant improvement permit was issued in January for interior alterations of the 1,281-square-foot space. Signs at the location currently advertise “coming soon”, but no other information is available, and the company did not return requests for comment prior to publication.
The restaurant is reportedly owned by the Torosyan family, the same team behind the popular ethnic bakery House of Bread. Denver’s only Armenian bakery, it’s well-acclaimed and known for its ajarski khachapuri, lahmajun, perashki, mante, and specialty breads like matnakash and barbari.
Shawarma House’s location is within the Willow Grove shopping center, which is anchored by a Walmart and has a mix of tenants from a dentist office and a pet hospital to a liquor store and nail salon. Leasing documents show the unit used to house a Subway.
