Metropolitan State University of Denver has a Brewery Operations Program that is opening a public brewpub, according to the Denver Post. The organization will be converting Degree Metropolitan Food + Drink, located at 1190 Auraria Pkwy, to a brewery/restaurant.

A recent article explained that students will help with the production of the beer that will be offered at Degree Brewpub, which will be the new name. Pupils within the School of Hospitality have been learning the ins and outs of brewing at the Charlie Papazian Brewing Education Lab, which has a 3.5-barrel commercial brewing system.

Degree Brewpub will have 18 taps, offering patrons a large selection. The program plans to produce 28 kegs each semester. Food options include salads, sandwiches, and flatbread pizzas.

The school, along with Sage Hospitality, which manages the existing Degree Metropolitan Food + Drink, are waiting on permits currently, reports say.
