According to a permit obtained by What Now Denver, the Japanese BBQ franchise Gyu-Kaku is planning on opening a location in The Coda Building on 100 Steele St.

The name “gyu-kaku” translates to “horn of the bull” in Japanese. “Gyu-Kaku provides the authentic Japanese yakiniku (grilled barbecue) dining experience” according to their website, “where customers share premium cooked meats over a flaming charcoal grill, while sipping on Japanese sake, shochu, and frosty cold beers.”

Originally developed by Rex Holdings in Japan in the mid 1990s, Gyu-Kaku now has multiple locations across the U.S. But the new location in The Coda building is set to be only the second location in Colorado.

Find their original Denver location on 1998 18th St. or watch out for their new opening soon.
