A new karaoke bar and restaurant is on its way to Westminster, according to liquor licensing records. Last month, a concept titled Ultra Lounge West was approved to sell alcohol at the address at 8971 Yates St.
While there appears to have been plans filed with the city, the website is down and those records cannot be viewed, so not much information is available. However, the entity behind the venue is listed as Yak & Yeti Restaurant and Lounge Inc., which is owned by Dol Bhattarai.
Bhattarai operates four Yak & Yeti restaurants in the metro area, in southeast Denver, Arvada, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge. Originally from Nepal, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1994 and founded Yak & Yeti in 2002. The chain is known for its Indian-Nepalese fusion cuisine and award-winning craft beers, and Bhattarai has won the Colorado Restaurant Association’s Industry Spotlight Outstanding Professional Award, posts show.
A Google My Business listing for Ultra Lounge West states that it will have American, Mexican, Italian & Indian cuisine on the menu, multiple big screen televisions for watching sports and PPV events, a stage for a live DJ, and a dance floor.
