Little Kitchen Academy, a cooking school for children based in Los Angeles, is undergoing a nationwide expansion with 140 locations in development.
20 of those locations are slated to start sprinkling around Colorado in a newly-signed development deal.
According to PRNewswire, the Colorado locations will be operated by Scott Payne and Keith Lublin, who have been longtime franchisees behind the Goldfish Swim School. They opened their first franchise together in 2013 and are one of the most successful operators for the swim school.
Brian Curin, CEO and co-founder of Little Kitchen Academy, said their “genuine passion for Little Kitchen Academy was clear from the moment we met them. We continue to be humbled and grateful for what we get to do with like-minded, good people.”
The academy itself focuses on a Montessori-inspired cooking class that allows children to develop at their speed with their interests being encouraged. The Montessori environment supports development and growth in Language, Math, Practical Life and Sensory Refinement, according to their website.
Outside of the 140 locations already in development, the company is also hoping to go international with the aim of 423 storefronts by 2025.
While there haven’t been any official locations or opening dates slated for the Little Kitchen Academies in Colorado, they’re opening their first franchised location in Portland, Oregon in Spring 2022.
