Denver-based Corvus Coffee Roasters recently executed a deal for its fifth location to open inside the new NOVEL RiNo apartment complex at 1300 40th St. Leasing details show the company signed this month for part of the first-floor lobby space of the property.

Phil Goodlaxson, who co-founded the brand with his wife Autumn in 2010, told The Denver Post the shop will likely not open until June at the earliest because of inventory delays. He expects to hire a staff of eight to run the business.

The apartment building where this new Corvus location will be is a newly-opened property with 483 units. It’s in an area booming with construction and revitalization.

Corvus Coffee Roasters also has locations in Arvada, Littleton, the Baker neighborhood and Denver Tech Center. The business concept promotes using ingredients from small farms in Africa rather than big corporations.

A representative of Corvus did not immediately return a request for comment.
