Los Dos Potrillos, a favorite local family-owned Mexican restaurant, is set to open its first location in Denver proper at 4100 E Mexico Ave. The establishment, near Colorado Boulevard and I-25, will open next year, the chain tells What Now Denver.

The Denver restaurant will feature an impressive 8,808 square feet of space, including two large patios. The Los Dos Potrillos team is currently in the permitting process and working on obtaining a liquor license.

Founded by Jose Ramirez, Los Dos Potrillos began as a single location in Centennial and has since grown to six locations across the region, adding Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Northglenn, and Castle Rock. The family-owned business is managed by Ramirez Hospitality Group.

Since 2002, Los Dos Potrillos has been a cornerstone of authentic Mexican cuisine in the Denver metro area. The restaurant group is committed to “real Mexican food” and Mexican-style lagers. In addition to its restaurants, there are catering services and a popular food truck.
