Noisette Restaurant & Bakery announced its closure through a social media post on May 22. As per the announcement, the restaurant will have its last day of service on June 14. The decision to close down was incredibly difficult and not made lightly, the post read.
“From the beginning, our goal was to bring a wonderful dining experience to Denver, one rooted in French tradition, warm hospitality, and a deep love of food. We are proud of what we built and profoundly grateful for the support, enthusiasm, and kindness we’ve received from all of you,” the post continued to say.
A Short But Good Run
The restaurant was opened in 2022 at 3254 Navajo Street in the Lower Highlands neighborhood of Denver. Chefs Tim Lu and Lillian Cho owned the restaurant. They both have experience in the fine dining space, having worked for some of the top restaurants in New York.
Noisette was quick to catch attention for its expertly executed cuisine, which paid homage to traditional French cooking, reimagined with a creative, modern twist. The experience of the food was combined with the chic and expansive space featuring a beautiful dining area and and a patisserie that welcomed guests at the entrance.
Noisette Restaurant & Bakery has been the recipient of several honors and recognitions during its short run. Most notably, it made its way to the MICHELIN Guide in September 2023, and its Tarte Tropézienne aux Fraises was among the MICHELIN Guide Inspectors’ Favorite Desserts in all of Colorado.
Reason for Closure
Noisette is the latest among many businesses to succumb to the economic hardships that the industry faces. The restaurant said that the economic climate has made it unsustainable for it to continue.
