A recent press release announced that the owners of Leven Deli signed a lease for a space at 1520 California St. to open a new concept. The downtown space is part of the Block 162 retail complex.

The restaurant, which is to be called Leven, will be in a 6,600-square-foot property and “expand the current vibe of Leven Deli into a full-service experience,” according to the press release. There will be a more extensive menu, a bar, an open kitchen, and wine service.

“We have looked at new locations for some time now and believe that this building and the endless possibilities it provides, will allow us to bring new life to the area,” the founder of Leven Deli Co., Anthony Lygizos, was quoted as saying.

Patrinely Group owns Block 162, and Zach Bierman of HK Commercial represented Leven in securing the lease. Leven Deli Co.’s original location, in the Golden Triangle neighborhood, is not far from this newest spot.
