The 12th Avenue Market & Deli in Denver will be transitioning into a new shop as the current owners retire and sell the building. Congress Park Market will be the name of the new local deli, according to the Denver Post

Congress Park Market’s owners — Jake Riederer, Cecelia Jones, and John Moutzouris — are also the current owners of Spinelli’s Market in Park Hill. The new concept will have some of Spinelli’s deli sandwiches, as well as new items created by chef Michael Neale.

The property Congress Park Market is taking over has been a grocer for over four decades. The owners will be moving the USPS service counter up front and having the deli in the back, offering deli meats, cheeses, fresh produce, beer, wine, and more.

Riederer told the Post that they “loved the idea of opening in spots with food deserts or just revitalizing little neighborhood markets.” The store will accept EBT, he added.
