Denver’s Avanti Food & Beverage is adding a taste of Europe to its lineup, a recent press release announced. Berliner Haus, a German- and Mediterranean-inspired street food concept, will replace a tenant that’s on its way out at the food hall, located at 3200 N Pecos St.
The business will take over the space that Bowls by KO is vacating. That concept will be leaving at the end of this month to open its own brick-and-mortar space, which What Now Denver recently covered. It’s on the first floor of the property.
Berliner Haus comes from Niko Diamantopoulos, who grew up in Greece and also has some Czech heritage, Westword reports. A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, he just started the venture last year, debuting with a booth at the annual Christkindlmarket in Civic Center Park and growing in recent months to a food truck operation.
The menu highlights authentic Berlin-style döner kebabs served on Turkish flatbread, with beef, lamb, chicken, and falafel options. It also serves döner boxes, rice bowls, salads, loaded fries, shareable mezze platters, grilled halloumi, and sweets like homemade baklava and custard pie.
