Odie B’s, the sandwich shop known for its soulful sandwiches, announced the opening of its second location in Denver’s vibrant River North Art District. The new location, housed inside the Novel building at 1350 40th St, Suite 180, is set to open its doors this January, bringing the same community-driven atmosphere and innovative menu that has made its Sunnyside location a local favorite.
Since its inception in 2022, Odie B’s has redefined the concept of the neighborhood bodega by creating innovative takes on comforting classics. The RiNo location will offer extended hours giving Denverites the opportunity to get their sandwich fix for dinner, along with the brunch classic patrons have grown to love including the Breakfast Chopped Cheese, Double OD Burger, and the Mixed Bag of Fries. Weekly specials will also be offered. At first Odie B’s will have a limited menu but will move into their full menu for all service hours, seven days a week. The team will also roll out grab-and-go options including soups and salads later this spring.
The expansion into the RiNo district marks a significant milestone for Odie B’s, allowing the restaurant to serve a broader community while maintaining its commitment to quality and community engagement. The new location will feature the same menu that has delighted patrons at the Sunnyside spot, including their breakfast sandwiches, lunch specials, and the much-lauded OD Burger.
Owned by husband-and-wife team, Chef Cliff and Cara Blauvelt, the team places a strong emphasis on the well-being of their team, prioritizing mental health, work-life balance, and overall happiness. As a Certified Peer Specialist, Chef Blauvelt has been open about his own struggles and now creates a supportive and inclusive environment, with around 75% of the Odie B’s staff in active recovery.
Cliff Blauvelt expressed his enthusiasm for the new opening in a statement saying: “While our popularity grew we realized the limitations of the space. We are really looking forward to growing and expanding what we can offer the guests. This is the next evolution for us and we can’t wait to show it off!”
Odie B’s RiNo will eventually be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
