Permits Filed for LoDo Hotel Concept 

citizenM wants to build a property with ground-floor restaurant space.

A parking lot at 1689 Blake St. is poised to become the site of the future citizenM hotel, permit filings show. The hospitality brand is seeking to build a resort on the LoDo property, which is just blocks from Union Station and Coor’s Field. 

The vision for the site is a multi-story hotel and restaurant complex, boasting approximately 278 rooms and a sprawling 5,685 square feet of ground-floor eatery space. The lobby area would also have a bar in it, permits state. 

Mortenson is spearheading the development of the project. The builder has an impressive portfolio of Colorado projects, including the Ritz-Carlton downtown, DEN Westin Hotel and Transit Center, Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center,  JW Marriott Cherry Creek, and renovations at the Broadmoor.
