A group of local residents is spearheading plans to transform a former call center in south Fort Collins into a premier pickleball facility. The proposed venue at 4401 Innovation Drive would offer indoor and outdoor courts, complemented by amenities like a coffee bar, grab-and-go food options, and a sober bar.

Originally constructed in 1978 and renovated in 1997, the building was a call center formerly. It will see 36,000 square feet of its 65,000-square-foot space repurposed for the facility. The site’s location is bordered by the Power Trail, Golden Meadows Pond, and nearby schools Kruse Elementary and Colorado Early Colleges Fort Collins.

The pickleball club plans to operate on a membership model, with a cap on membership numbers to ensure ample court availability. Programming will include private lessons, skill-level classes, and drill sessions, along with hosting tournaments.

Neil Bellefeuille, a project developer and partner in Pickleball Ventures LLC, is listed on city documents connected to the plans. His business pages describe him as a Fort Collins resident and sustainability expert with a background in brand strategy.

Articles state that the developers aim to open the facility by summer. A neighborhood meeting was held on July 31, offering residents an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and share their feedback.
