A quick option for gas and food is in the works off the Yale exit of I-25. QuikTrip is developing a fuel station and convenience store with a full-service kitchen, documents show. The company is building on parcels at 5500 and 5570 E Yale Ave.

Records show the market and food area will be about 4,000 square feet, and the gas station will have 12 pumps. There are currently two buildings that are on the .79-acre parcel, which will be demolished for the new build project. Thirty parking spaces will be added.

The project is estimated to start in the beginning of 2026, and construction will take about a year to complete, according to a concept plan submitted to the city two weeks ago. A Letter of Intent states that the average Quiktrip generates over a million dollars in local and state taxes each year.

The full-service kitchen will offer items like grilled cheese, sandwiches, tacos, pizza, pretzels, ice cream, donuts and more. Beer and wine will also be sold at the location. The store will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
