A new donut shop is going in in the Northgate neighborhood on the north side of Colorado Springs. Shipley Do-Nuts, a popular nationwide chain, has a store pending at 11010 W Cross Peak View #100, permits show.

City records reveal an open planning permit to put signage up at the location. Meisternuts LLC, the franchisee, wants to add “two banners and one inflatable sign”, documents state.

Meisternuts LLC signed an exclusive territory development agreement for Colorado Springs and the Denver metro area. As part of the deal, the group is acquiring two existing stores and will open an additional 16. The company also operates Five Guys and Zaxby’s restaurants as well.

Shipley Do-Nuts has more than 330 shops across the United States. The business started in the 1940s in Texas, and now has grown to offer more than 60 different kinds of donut options.
