City records show that the town of Timnath will be home to a Newk’s Eatery in the future, if all plans go through. Site plans have been submitted to build a diner at 4725 Weitzel Street #5.

Last month, Newk’s franchisee Zach Rogers and Thunderpup Construction Inc. submitted a fourth review of plans for the 3,30-square-foot building to the city. The goal is to construct on a 1.08 acre lot that’s currently vacant.

The conceptual review narrative states that the fast casual restaurant will include an outdoor patio and a drive through. There will be 34 parking spaces including two handicap spaces. Projections are that the location will have a staff of about 40 employees, serving 40 cars and 120 dine-in patrons each day.

Rogers is also the owner of the Newk’s Eatery that is coming soon to Fort Collins. Along with his wife and son, he is eager to build up brand recognition for the franchise here. The company has Southern roots and currently only one location in Colorado.
