Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ, a renowned Northern Colorado barbecue chain, is officially expanding its reach with a location in Greeley, according to Biz West. The local company will be moving into a property at 819 9th Street in the city’s downtown corridor.

This newest addition joins the five other Smokin’ Dave’s restaurants across Colorado: Denver, Longmont, Lyons, and Estes Park. Smokin’ Daves owners purchased the building for $1.5 million over the summer, and the closing was announced by The Nixon Team at RE/MAX Alliance.

The joint serves a barbecue menu featuring smoked meats, hearty platters, and signature sandwiches, and has burgers, wraps, seafood options, and sides. There is also a drink menu of craft beers and specialty cocktails; state records show the Greeley location was approved for a liquor license in January.

The eatery first opened its doors in 2007. Its founder Dave Oehlman first started in the food business back in the 90s in Hawaii and then ran a few restaurants in Estes Park before starting Smokin’ Dave’s.
