Local dessert shop and bakery The Cakery is getting a new address. The business is moving from Wellington to a new property in Fort Collins, at 2842 Council Tree Ave #141, according to city records.

Dynamic Image LLC filed a sign permit for The Cakery’s new space, which is in a busy shopping plaza on the southeast side of town. Front Range Village has a mix of retail stores, eateries, gyms, entertainment establishments, and a dog park and library.

The business officially closed up shop at the current space this week. It posted on Facebook saying, “We want to thank you for all the support over the last 6 years in Wellington, and we hope to continue to see you at the new location where we will be able to offer more products!”

The Cakery started out as a food truck six years ago, specializing in custom-order cakes and cupcakes. At the Fort Collins spot, owner Jackie Isvanca hopes to expand the menu to other sweets like breads, brownies, and cookies.
