High-end steakhouse The Capital Grille is working to enhance its space, records from the City and County of Denver show. The business, which is located at 1450 Larimer St., will have interior and exterior work done — pending permits.

Details for the project state it will comprise of updating the bar and finishes in the dining area. The restaurant also plans to expand the space into the adjacent shell, which previously housed Side Door offices, and update the facade of the building.

The steakhouse has a prime location downtown, near the Center for the Performing Arts and the popular Larimer Square destination. It’s a property that sits on an 11,706-square-foot lot, only one block from the bustling 16th Street Mall.

The Capital Grille is known as an elegant fine dining experience, with premier fare and dry-aged steaks, seafood, and wine. With its refined atmosphere, the restaurant has an upscale dress code, valet service, and private dining packages.
