Attorney by day and saloon owner by night, Lucas Ross has taken over the 1880s jailhouse building on 412 E. Main St. and is set to open up a bar called The Slammer.
Ross takes over the historical building in the middle of next month after The Jailhouse ends its lease. When What Now Denver talked with Ross, we were told that the bar is going to be an upscale “Wild West Saloon style” that serves “craft beer and craft whiskey.”
The Slammer will serve some small foods alongside its curated craft beer and whiskey selections, and hopes to open “by the end of summer or September,” said Ross, depending on how everything progresses.
