A longtime establishment in Boulder for raw and vegan foods, Thrive, closed its doors in November 2024 after nearly a decade of operation. The business, once located at 1509 Arapahoe Ave., may open again at a new spot with the aid of ongoing crowdfunding efforts.

The closure is due to the planned demolition of its location, a central spot across from Boulder High School that featured outdoor seating, a patio, and on-site parking. Its operating hours were from 10 AM to 5 PM every day.

Boulder Reporting Lab announced that the eatery’s farewell celebration was held on November 11. But the company announced that it was not a final goodbye; a GoFundMe campaign set up to help Thrive with securing funds to restart aims to raise $111,111. Donations are at a little over $2,200 so far.

Owner Corey Jacobs, who describes himself as a CMT, plant whisperer, and spaceship captain, told What Now Denver that the areas being scouted for a potential new location include Boulder, Lafayette, and Louisville. He said that the timeframe for when a lease, construction, and opening are unclear right now.
