A sister concept from the Texas-based Japanese restaurant, Uchi, is in the works for Denver. Uchiko, which means “child of Uchi,” is tentatively set to open in Cherry Creek in early 2024, according to a press release.

The Denver location of Uchiko will be located at 299 Fillmore St.

Uchi, which opened in RiNo in 2018, has several locations across Texas and one in Miami. Uchiko, first opened in Austin in 2010 and has a second location in Houston. Austin-based Hai Hospitality is behind both restaurant concepts.

Uchiko will continue “to push the boundaries of Chef Tyson Cole’s original take on modern Japanese cuisine,” according to the brand’s website. Uchiko’s menu includes a variety of fresh sushi and sashimi, as well as caviar.

Happy hours at both Texas Uchiko locations have pricing specials on food and drink. The bar menu features a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and sake.
