Owner Brad Kaemmer grew up in Vail and comes from a family of restaurateurs who were part of the beginnings of the mountain town. He notes that eateries in the city are constantly booked out, so he is excited to offer an iconic membership dining experience that none of the other clubs in the area have.

“The Sixty Two Society is bringing a fresh take on alpine luxury, creating an experience like no other, no matter the season,” Kaemmer said. “From unbeatable ski access to top-tier dining and exclusive concierge services, The Sixty Two Society is designed for both locals and visitors looking for something truly special. I can’t wait to introduce this one-of-a-kind experience to Vail.”

He told What Now Denver a lease has been signed and permitting is nearly complete. The current tenant, Los Amigos, will vacate the property at the end of April, and then $8 million worth of work will be down to transform the space into the home base of The Sixty Two Society, including the restaurant onsite.

Construction is set to begin May 1, with an estimated 12-to-14-month timeline. The space will be transformed, including moving the entrance from the street side to the slope side, enclosing an existing patio to make it convertible for summer and winter use, and partnering with Vail Resorts to add a fire pit.

In addition to the restaurant, the club’s website advertises that it will offer a full-service concierge experience for helping arrange reservations and outings, as well as chauffeur service with Escalades to shuffle members around to various excursions. Kaemmer said membership signups are already open and interest has been high.
