According to reports, Whataburger, the fast-food chain known for its signature burgers, is poised to expand into Falcon, marking a significant step in its growth in the state. This restaurant will be part of Owl Marketplace, a commercial development located near the intersection of Owl Place and Meridian Road.

Founded in 1950 by Harmon Dobson and Paul Burton in Corpus Christi, Texas, Whataburger has grown from a single location to have over 900 restaurants across 14 states, primarily in the southern U.S. Originally family-owned, the company transitioned to a majority ownership by BDT Capital Partners in 2019.

The chain is known for its 24/7 operations, allowing it to cater to customers at any hour. It particularly appeals to those seeking late-night dining options. It is especially famous for its customizable Whataburger, which has become an iconic menu item.

The new Falcon location will be developed by BurgerWorks Colorado, the franchisee responsible for Whataburger’s expansion in the Pikes Peak region. BurgerWorks has already made strides in the area, with several successful locations in the Colorado Springs region.
