Sandy Rothe, owner of Whistling Hare Distillery, has big plans and a big vision for his business. He is rebranding to Turnbuckle Distilling and moving operations to a five-acre plot at 13975 W. Bowles Ave. that he bought two years ago, Denver Business Journal reports.

Under the name Turnbuckle Distilling, the company will operate as a distillery, tasting room, restaurant, and farm — all in one. Rothe bought Whistling Hare from owners six years ago, and will sell off that Broomfield property eventually.

The property, near C-470 and West Bowles Avenue, is about 50% farmland. Rothe rezoned part of it for a venue to be built and hopes to build this summer, he told the publication. Plans reveal 16,000 square feet of total space for all operations and about $5 million in costs.

The restaurant at Turnbuckle Distilling will be able to accommodate between 75 to 100 guests. In terms of distilling, they will have the capacity to increase production by about 10x. In addition to serving customers on property, the company sells to nearly 100 vendors in the state.
