Chef Lon Symensma is bringing YumCha back to downtown Denver with a new location opening this summer inside the Denver Milk Market. According to Westword, the popular concept is one of a few new options the food hall —  at 1800 Wazee Street — will welcome soon.

This news follows the closure of the original YumCha Dumpling & Noodle Bar at the 16th Street Mall, which stopped operations earlier this year, the Denver Post reported. Its Central Park location, at Eastbridge Town Center, has also recently rebranded into YumCha Bee Garden.

The new Milk Market stall will serve YumCha favorites like soup dumplings, lo mein, fried rice, pot stickers, and unique bites such as the cheese crisp and Reuben spring roll. It will join other coming additions Konjo Ethiopian Food, East3, and Lucky Bird Fried Chicken, DiningOut Denver writes.

Symensma cited the move downtown as being necessary due to the construction project at the 16th Street Mall, which cut down significantly on foot traffic and left many businesses struggling. He also runs restaurants ChoLon and Gusto through his hospitality group ChoLon Concepts.
