According to a permit obtained by What Now Denver, the nonprofit electric bicycle shop, GoodTurn Cycles will be opening a new location in Denver, on 1401 Zuni St, right off Old West Colfax Ave.
GoodTurn Cycles “serve(s) young adults from low income families in the Littleton area that have not had success in traditional education and employment models by providing job skills training and mentorship that helps them discover their inherent self worth,” according to their website.
By providing job training for those who want to gain more skills in the field, the bicycle shop also provides electric bicycle rentals and sales to the surrounding area.
If you’re wondering why some might prefer an electric bicycle to a muscle-powered one, the website explains that “for many, an eBike allows individuals who are no longer able to bike long distances or up hills to get back on the bike.”
If you would still like the flexibility of a bicycle but would want or need the extra support of a lithium ion battery-powered motor, GoodTurn Cycles is the place for you.
And if you’re not interested in an eBike, but still want to support the cause, you can donate here.
