It looks as if See’s Candies, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is expanding its chocolate empire in Colorado. Lease intel suggests a new chocolate shop will soon offer tasty treats to residents and visitors of Highlands Ranch.
See’s Candies’ first shop opened in 1921 in Los Angeles. According to the See’s Candies website, Canadian chocolate salesman Charles A. See, his family, and mother, Mary See, moved to California to follow his dream of opening a candy company.
The candies were made from his mother’s original recipes with many still used today including See’s Peanut Brittle, Victoria Toffee, and Maple Walnut Creams.
Other tasty confections include bon bons, truffles, fudge, lollypops, licorice, and sugar free options.
See’s Candies has more than 200 locations across the U.S. with multiple shops open in Colorado including in Littleton and Colorado Springs. Candy kiosks at Denver International Airport offer travelers sweet treats.
There is no word on when the new See’s Candy will open at 9563 S. University Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.
