Snarf’s Sandwiches is set to open its second Colorado Springs location at 1640 S. Nevada Ave. at some point this year, the Gazette reports. The brand is aiming for a Q4 2024 debut at the property.
This new site, which was formerly the Ivywild Pharmacy, represents a significant step in the ongoing redevelopment of the South Nevada Avenue corridor. The 81-year-old red-brick building will undergo renovations while retaining its historic charm.
The project includes adding a new bay window and metalwork to match adjacent structures. The interior will be updated to accommodate indoor seating and carryout service.
Snarf’s expansion follows the success of its first Colorado Springs location, which opened in summer 2022 at 7495 N. Academy Blvd. The company was founded in Boulder by Jimmy Seidel in 1996, and has grown to over 40 locations across Colorado, Texas, and Missouri.
“Our first location in Colorado Springs opened two years ago at 7495 N. Academy Blvd. It’s been a big success for us, so we’ve been keeping our eyes open for a second location. Our focus was on the south side of town. It was just a matter of finding the right spot, and we feel we did,” a company spokesperson told What Now Denver.
