The franchise offering smoothies and waffle treats is coming to the college town.
Bora Bora Smoothie Cafe has listed a new location on their website at 303 S Main Street in downtown Ann Arbor. The team behind the project also operates a Bora Bora shop in Dearborn. Co-owner Ramsey Aljahmi told What Now Detroit the opening date will be in a couple months.
“We are a casual eatery where comfort meets culinary creativity, offering a diverse menu that satisfies all appetites,” says the description on their website.
The company has over 15 cafes in the U.S., with other markets including New York, Texas, New York, Wisconsin and Connecticut. Their menu options range from drinks to acai bowls, along with sandwich and dessert options. Ice cream is one of their signature items, with flavors including red syrup candy, blue syrup candy and strawberry chocolate with whipped cream.
Other dessert options include their croffles, basically waffle sandwiches, crepes and pancakes. Coffees are also served at all the cafes. The menu does not vary by location, and Ann Arbor is expected to offer the same options.
Bora Bora will be near the corner of E Liberty Street, next to Shalimar Restaurant and across from Black Pearl. Shinola Ann Arbor watch store is also at this corner. This is just a few blocks west of University of Michigan’s Main Campus.
Aljahmi and his team opened the Dearborn location in 2024 at 22279 Michigan Avenue. What Now Detroit has reached out to the franchisees for further comment on the new cafe. For more information on Bora Bora and the Ann Arbor opening date, visit the company website.
