Coffee and good vibes will be served at a new spot in the heights.
A new restaurant and bakery space called Vibe Venue & Cafe is coming soon to Dearborn Heights. Work is underway at the storefront, 5303 S Telegraph Road, to introduce the project to the community. The owners have not yet given a firm opening date.
“This is a family owned and operated dream coming to life,” said a recent Instagram post about the project.
One of the owners, local realtor Amal Essa, is partnering with her daughter, Aya on the project, a local baker whose creations include custom cakes. The business is well-known in the area as “home of the fried Oreos.” Her creations can be found on the @ayassweets Instagram page.
Vibe Venue & Cafe’s menu hasn’t been released, but guests can expect options like croissants, coffee, sandwiches and cakes. The meats will all be Halal, following a theme of many restaurants in the area.
The cafe and venue is opening near the corner of S Telegraph Road and Powers Avenue, next to the coming soon Pizza Box restaurant. 4-D’s Coney Island is just a few storefronts down, and this is on the south side of Dearborn Heights.
From the most recent post, renovations are happening including installing the flooring. Kitchen equipment is not installed yet, along with the dining area. It is clear the cafe is at least a couple months out from opening.
What Now Detroit has reached out to the owners, including Essa, and is awaiting comment. For more updates on progress and the opening date, visit their social media pages.
