A cake business is debuting a storefront bakery in the suburb this year.
Local baking company Vita’s Cakery has announced their new bakery is opening in Shelby Township this year. This location will serve ready to go desserts and specialty coffees. The address and opening date have not yet been released.
“I’ve been operating my custom baking business out of my parents basement for almost 7 years and am getting ready to transition into my very first bakery storefront this year!” Owner Vita Loduca said in a recent post.
Loduca is a baker who has been operating her business at her parents’ home in Clinton Township, preparing specialty cakes for events like weddings and other custom cakes. Loduca also makes many different kinds of desserts like cupcakes, cookies, cake pops and edible arrangements. This would be her first venture into owning a brick-and-mortar bakery.
Shelby Township is already home to a few bakeries including Weakness for Sweets and Christine’s Cakes & Pastries. Until the opening, Loduca is operating at pop-ups in the area, most recently at Glitz & Ears Boutique in Clinton Township. The initial announcement of the bakery was four days ago, and it is mentioned the opening date will be shared soon.
