Kahani Social Group announced the grand opening of its newest concept, bol, on Thursday, Jan 30. Located in an 1,800-square-foot space at 3201 Louisiana Street that it shares with the recently opened Pok Pok Po, bol brings a fresh and flavorful fast-casual dining experience to Houston.
Spearheaded by Chef Jassi Bindra, alongside Kahani Social Group’s leaders Preet Paul and Surpreet Singh, bol reimagines the classic bowl concept with global flavors and customizable options designed to suit every palate. Guests can craft their perfect meal by choosing between a bowl, wrap, or salad and selecting their preferred base from brown rice, basmati, or masala rice. Protein options include happy chicken, paneer, lamb keema, beef, cumin potatoes, and more. With toppings like pickled onion, spiced avocado, roasted corn kernels, and Jassi’s signature hummus, the combinations are endless for creating your ideal flavor-packed meal. Ingredients are sourced from trusted farms, with all proteins sustainably and halal-certified.
“With bol, we’ve reimagined the classic bowl by infusing it with global inspiration and bold flavors,” said Chef Jassi Bindra in a statement. “Every element—from the base to the proteins, toppings, and sauces—is designed to let guests craft a meal that’s as unique and satisfying as they are, whether they’re craving comforting spices or vibrant, fresh ingredients.”
The design of bol reflects its innovative spirit. A striking mix of black and neon purple creates a vibrant and modern aesthetic, tying together global inspiration with a touch of Texas flair. Architects John Tsai and Robert Mazzo brought this vision to life with sleek wooden finishes and a thoughtful layout combining banquets and standalone tables. Bol’s inviting 24-seat dining area is designed for both quick meals and for those desiring a more relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.
Both bol and Pok Pok Po operate under the same hours, serving guests from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and extending to midnight on Friday and Saturday. The neighboring concepts complement one another with their shared dedication to bold flavors, modern design, and welcoming atmospheres.
