Cici’s Pizza is continuing to expand in the Greater Houston region. According to a recently filed permit, the pizza chain is expected to open its next Houston location in the Jones Plaza at 10922 FM 1960 W.
The permit further details that construction on the new Cici’s Pizza is slated to start towards the end of June and wrap up before the end of September. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $300,000 construction project, the nearly 4,000 square-foot Cici’s Pizza should open by the fall.
At the helm of the new opening is franchisee group Aulakh Corporation, led by Ahmad T Aulakh. What Now Houston reached out to Aulakh and Cici’s Pizza’s Senior Director of Franchise Operations, Heather Gunter, to find out more details about the upcoming Jones Plaza opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Joe Croce and Mike Cole founded Cici’s Pizza in Plano, Texas, in 1985. The chain revolutionized the pizza industry by pioneering the unlimited, all-you-can-eat pizza, pasta, salad, and dessert buffet for one low price.
There are now 271 Cici’s Pizza locations operating across the United States. Texas has most of them, with 134 locations sprawled across the state. Houston is nearly at a dozen locations with the upcoming Jones Plaza opening.
The Starboard Group is behind most of the Cici’s Pizza locations operating throughout Texas and Louisiana. What Now Houston also reached out to Starboard Group’s Vice President of Operations, Luis Avina, and Cici’s Pizza Vice President of Operations, Craig Richard, but we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Cici’s Pizza is anticipated to open in the Jones Plaza at 10922 FM 1960 W by this fall.
