Comfort Foodies is bringing its blend of Southern Soul food and Dominican-Caribbean flavors to the Sienna subdivision. According to a press release announcing the Comfort Foodies brand addition, Comfort Foodies is set to open in Missouri City at 8731 Highway 6.

The Comfort Foodies team shared that the new eatery is expected to open in March of this year. At the helm of the brand is a couple, Elsa and Jeff Mattthews.

“This move represents the next phase of Comfort Foodies’ growth,” Elsa Matthews said.

“Our Missouri City location gives us greater visibility, closer access to residential communities, and more flexibility to serve families, group gatherings, and catering customers.”

Spanning approximately 3,000 square feet, the Comfort Foodies to come to Missouri City will offer seating for 50 to 60 guests. In addition, the new space will enable Comfort Foodies to expand its dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering services, while also supporting the continued growth of its frozen empanada line. Perhaps the most notable news for Comfort Foodies is that for the first time, the concept will introduce a full bar and happy hour offerings.

“Creating a more social and elevated dining experience that has long been part of the brand’s vision,” the press release reads.

Comfort Foodies was founded in 2020 by Afro-Latina chef Elsa and her husband, Jeff. Evolving from a food truck to a popular brick-and-mortar restaurant, the brand has continued to garner recognition.

The menu includes seafood options like the Southern Fried Catfish & Shrimp Dinner, a host of empanadas, handhelds like the Fried Porkchop SandwichBaskets of wings, catfish, or shrimp, and a plethora of sides, drinks, and dessert offerings.

Comfort Foodies will continue offering its popular lunch specials for under $12, while maintaining the value-driven approach that has built a loyal following.
