Chef Rafael Nasr of the Mediterranean restaurant Craft Pita has announced that their second location (5172 Ste. C Buffalo Speedway) opened in West University on November 19. After a successful three years at the original location on Fountainview, the new location is at Plaza in the Park, the same shopping center as Kroger, right next to Adair Kitchen. Craft Pita will bring the same hospitality and menu along with some menu additions.
“We are excited for everyone to try our Lebanese cuisine prepared from locally sourced ingredients,” said owner Rafael Nasr in a statement. “West University is the perfect place to expand on what we have built with the Craft Pita community. We are a family-owned restaurant and look forward to serving the families of West University. The proximity to areas like Greenway Plaza and the Medical Center will also allow us to expand our catering and delivery opportunities.”
The Craft Pita menu at the new location consists of family-inspired recipes with their modern takes on Lebanese classics. Along with some of those classics, Nasr will bring new flavors to West University, including chicken and beef kebabs, a new mezze dinner menu and sampler plate, a chicken shawarma style pita, and a beef gyro style pita. The mezze dinner will consist of appetizers, entrees, and dessert for two people for $60. The location will also have an expanded Lebanese wine list.
At 2,500 square feet, the West University location is much larger than the first and will have a patio and green space.
