If you love ramen, you’re in luck! RAKKAN Ramen has set a location for another restaurant in the Houston area. The latest addition to the Japanese ramen concept is planned near The Galleria at 1717-B Post Oak Blvd. in Houston. RAKKAN Ramen marketing coordinator Timothy Nakamura told What Now Houston in an email that the newest planned location could open sometime in 2023.
RAKKAN Ramen specializes in authentic Japanese ramen made with a 100% plant-based broth. The menu also features sushi bites and handrolls, rice bowls, salads, and other options. With a wide range of conventional and vegan options, the concept has a broad appeal for all lifestyles.
RAKKAN Ramen is currently serving hot Japanese ramen dishes and so much more at a spot in Houston Heights. What Now Houston earlier reported on three other RAKKAN Ramen locations opening to the public in coming months.
- 12645 Tomball Pkwy., #500, Houston, TX 77086 (Late 2022 or Early 2023)
- 2550 CityWest Blvd., Ste. 400, Houston, TX 77042 (2023)
- 1321 N. Westgreen Blvd., Ste. 300, Katy, TX 77449 (2023)
All of the listed Houston-area locations are owned by franchisee Christopher Lav, president of Vondry Enterprises. Lav earlier told What Now Houston that he has signed up to open a total of 10 locations.
RAKKAN Ramen founder and CEO, Ryohei Ito, opened the first RAKKAN restaurant in 2011 in Tokyo. The name of the brand “RAKKAN” means optimistic, one of the driving motivations to deliver authentic Japanese ramen to the world.
