Firehouse Subs is coming to Missouri City, according to a recent state filing. The new sandwich shop is expected to open at 10040 Highway 6, Suite 400, in 2026.
The permit details that construction on a more than 1,500 square foot Firehouse Subs store started last month and is slated to wrap up by December of 2026. Community Impact reports that the new Firehouse Subs is expected to open in the Spring of next year. What Now Houston reached out to the Director of Franchise Operations for Firehouse Subs, Todd E. McGrew, to confirm the opening date and find out who the franchisee will be, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Firehouse Subs has quickly grown to 1300 locations across North America, according to its website, since Chris and Robin Sorensen founded the location in Florida. There are now nearly 135 locations in Texas, making the Lone Star State the second state in the United States with the highest number of Firehouse Subs locations. There are fewer than a dozen Firehouse Subs shops in Houston; the Shops at Vicksburg, opening in Missouri City, will bump that count up to ten firefighter-themed sandwich shops in the Greater Houston area.
The counter-service fast-stop restaurant cuts up and deals out a multitude of both hot and cold sandwiches and salads. Firehouse Subs enthusiasts can expect the menu to be familiar to those they may already frequent.
The new Firehouse Subs is expected to open in the Shops at Vicksburg at 10040 Highway 6, Suite 400, by December 2026.
