ONESWEAT, a boutique fitness concept, is working on its next Greater Houston region opening. The fitness brand is planning on opening a 3,000-square-foot studio in the new Central Park Post Oak retail village in Uptown at 1990 Post Oak Blvd, according to Realty News Report.

What Now Houston reached out to ONESWEAT co-owner Paul Rothschild to find out more about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

“Prepare for a high-energy blend of cardio and strength training, all synchronized to the music for an extra boost of motivation—those beat drops have never felt better,” the ONESWEAT website reads.

“Your treadmill sessions will include sprints, hills, endurance runs, and sled pushes – with speed entirely in your hands. Meanwhile, dumbbells and other equipment will help you build strength and lean muscle.”

The brand’s history began in December 2017, when plans were announced to bring a new fitness concept to Houston’s Heights neighborhood. Originally affiliated with the South African-based fitness brand Sweat 1000, the studio officially opened its doors in March 2018 under the leadership of co-founders Anabel Barron and Jordan Strouse.

After establishing a strong local footprint—including expanding to a second flagship location in Houston’s upscale River Oaks neighborhood—the company officially rebranded from SWEAT 1000 to ONESWEAT in 2021. The transition allowed the brand to step out from its international affiliation and build a highly customized, independent identity tailored directly to the Texas fitness market.

“Our classes are designed for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your fitness level. You have full control over your treadmill speed and the weights you choose,” the brand’s website reads.

“Not into running? Check out your local studio’s schedule for our SWEAT Strength training classes.”

In 2024, ONESWEAT was acquired by Reach Stretch & Recovery, a specialized brand providing assisted stretching and physical recovery services. They immediately absorbed Reach’s five Houston-area studios (Rice Village, Memorial City, Cinco Ranch, Sugar Land, and The Woodlands), rebranding them as ONESWEAT Stretch + Wellness.

The brand’s website shows that there are now seven ONESWEAT studios.

What Now also reached out to ONESWEAT Regional Manager, Evan Alexander, to find out more about further expansion goals and plans. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.

ONESWEAT is anticipated to open in the new Central Park Post Oak retail village in Uptown at 1990 Post Oak Blvd when the retail center is completed early next year.
