Bellaire is about to welcome a fresh pour of culture and community with Paul’s Wine Pix, a new family-owned wine bar concept by Paul Kirchhoff and his parents, Steve and Linnea Kirchhoff. Located at 5424 Bissonnet St., the upcoming spot aims to offer something distinct from typical wine shops in the area.
“I wanted to shake the market up a bit,” said Paul Kirchhoff, who will also serve as the in-house sommelier. “It will be good for the community.” The venue is designed with a European sensibility, offering a cozy, homey feel meant to mirror the atmosphere of small neighborhood spots abroad. Alongside wine, the bar will serve internationally inspired small bites, making it an ideal place to unwind, explore, and connect.
One standout feature of Paul’s Wine Pix is its carefully curated and exclusive wine selection. “We’ll carry a lot of wines you won’t find on the market,” Kirchhoff explained, emphasizing that many of the bottles are sourced from high-quality portfolios not commonly available in Houston. Guests will also have the chance to book appointments for tastings at the dedicated tasting table—a more personal way to dive into the bar’s unique selections.
To keep things fresh, Paul’s Wine Pix will rotate a special menu every three months, pairing both wine and appetizers from a different global region. This rotating experience will sit alongside the staple offerings, giving regulars something new to look forward to while still enjoying their favorites.
The opening, if all goes to plan, is set for Summer 2025.
