A new hybrid concept is on the way to 3603 S Shepherd Dr, where Pineapple Auto Spa & Fein Coffee will share the same space. The project is being led by Co-Owners Hadi Ismail and Mohammad Aaqil Jamshad, who are transforming an existing car inspection shop into a unique open-air destination.
According to city permits, the $150,000 renovation will repurpose the 1990-built structure into two distinct but connected businesses. One side will operate as a hand car wash, while the other will serve as a cozy café. The plans call for removing several overhead doors and all non-load bearing interior walls, creating a refreshed 1,553-square-foot layout designed for both function and atmosphere.
The pairing of a car wash with a café offers a convenient twist for Houstonians. Guests will be able to enjoy coffee or a light bite while waiting for their vehicle, turning what is often a chore into a more relaxed experience. By combining daily errands with a comfortable café environment, Ismail and Jamshad are banking on a concept that blends practicality with hospitality.
Work on the space is set to begin this fall, with renovations scheduled to start in November 2025 and wrap up by December 2025.
