In a fresh and exciting venture for Jennifer & Peter Gomes, Katy is set to welcome a new addition to its thriving food and beverage scene. Voodoo Brewery Co., renowned for its distinct brews and vibrant community-focused approach, is securing its spot at 22756 Westheimer Pkwy, previously occupied by the popular restaurant, Local Table.
Jennifer, who is currently working in aviation, and her husband, Peter, who works in IT, chose Voodoo because it perfectly blends the warmth of a neighborhood joint without the stereotypical sports bar vibe. It is also kid-friendly and offers a patio space, something the Gomes’ felt was lacking in their community.
“Our menu will consist of the Voodoo classics such as Good Vibes BBQ Bacon Blue Burger which infuses our phenomenal Good Vibes IPA into the BBQ sauce creating a mouth watering experience. Other fan favorites include the Voodill Pickle Pizza and our Beer Mussels both delivering flavor profiles which are exceptional and unique,” Jennifer said.
Voodoo has a business model that grants franchisees the option to customize their space and menu, allowing for a more personal touch of the area and the owners’ themselves. With that, the Gomes’ are already planning on how to make it feel just right for the people of Katy, which they are keeping hush-hush about until they open their doors to the public.
Jennifer expressed, “Our choice to open Voodoo Brewing in Katy, Texas, particularly in the vibrant Villagio Town Center, is rooted in our positive vision for community engagement and economic contribution. We were drawn to the Cinco Ranch area due to its fantastic atmosphere, vibrant food scene, and the amazing location.”
With the grand opening targeted for early December 2023, Katy residents can look forward to holiday festivities, “Voodoo style.”
