A dynamic new player in the hospitality scene is gearing up for arrival–XO Eats + Entertainment. This fresh concept from Co-Owner Terrence Hartford and three additional partners is set for 5023 Washington Ave, and is positioned to be more than just a restaurant.

Inspired by Hartford’s prior success in the hospitality industry, XO aims to offer a multicultural and elevated experience that brings diverse demographics together under one roof. “We believe in creating a space where you can enjoy life with the ones you love,” Hartford shared with What Now Houston. True to this vision, XO will function as a family-friendly eatery by day, open six days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving thoughtful dishes paired with a full bar available all day. At night, however, XO will transform into an adult-only destination from 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., featuring a late-night menu and live music spanning various genres.

The venue’s innovative design reflects its community-driven mission. The first floor boasts a versatile event space capable of hosting 300 seated guests or 500 standing, available for rent and adaptable to suit everything from weddings to corporate functions. “We are excited to cater to the community with our event space. It is something that is just not the norm in the area,” Hartford explained. This focus on inclusivity and support for local gatherings sets XO apart from typical nightlife spots.

Upstairs, the second floor will house the main dining area and stage, offering seating for approximately 100 guests. For a more intimate experience, a private room styled with a speakeasy vibe will be encased in glass with the ability to be fully hidden that will accommodate 40-50 people. It will feature its own smaller stage and a baby grand piano for exclusive performances. Whether it’s an elegant evening of jazz or a lively dinner with friends, XO aims to be a “safe space to come and be who you are”, embracing all guests with warmth and style while celebrating life and love.

The co-owners are aiming for a Spring 2025 opening to debut their community-centric space. Be sure to follow their Instagram–https://www.instagram.com/thexohtx–to keep up with their progress.
