Yard House is preparing for further expansion within the Houston Metro, this time inside William P. Hobby Airport. According to a recently filed permit, the brand will be expanding its footprint to 7800 Airport Blvd. as part of a major renovation project.
The permit outlines an estimated cost of $1,952,250 for the upcoming project. The scope of work includes an interior tenant alteration of an existing restaurant space within the airport’s concourse. Plans call for new walls, flooring, finishes, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment throughout the 2,603-square-foot space.
This move marks a strategic play by Yard House to tap into the steady stream of travelers moving through Houston’s second-largest airport. Known for its extensive selection of draft beers and American cuisine with a global twist, Yard House has long been a go-to destination for casual dining and craft beer enthusiasts.
Once complete, the new location will offer travelers another option to dine, unwind, and catch a game before their flight. It’s part of a broader trend of national brands investing in elevated dining experiences within airports across the country, turning terminal concourses into full-service culinary destinations.
The project is scheduled to begin in April 2025, with completion targeted for October 2025.
