Club Studio is embarking on a Greater Houston expansion. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, the new Club Studio is planned to open in Sugar Land within the Riverpark Shopping Center at 19880 Southwest Fwy.
The permit further details that the construction project is currently underway and is slated to wrap up by next June. If all goes well with the estimated $5,500,000 construction project, the new fitness studio should open by next Summer.
The address is currently home to an LA Fitness location in Sugar Land.
“Interior remodel of an existing LA Fitness,” the permit for the new 35,443-square-foot Club Studio reads.
“Major changes to interior, and limited changes to exterior. No significant changes to existing occupancy or exiting.”
What Now Houston reached out to the National Operations Director, Carie Blow, to find out more about the upcoming opening. Blow confirmed the opening, but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

Club Studio is a luxury hybrid fitness brand launched in late 2022 by Fitness International, LLC, the parent company of LA Fitness. Fitness International debuted the brand in December 2022 by opening the first 40,000-square-foot Club Studio location at the Oak Creek Shopping Center in Irvine, California.
The brand was designed to blend the specialized, high-energy atmosphere of boutique fitness studios with the large-scale equipment, weights, and amenities of a traditional big-box gym. Each facility features dedicated group fitness modalities—such as HIIT, reformer Pilates, hot yoga, cycling, and boxing—alongside luxury recovery labs offering cryotherapy, hyper-ice tools, and massage beds.
After opening initial locations in Southern California and expanding to regions like Tysons Corner in Virginia, the company operated 15 locations nationwide by late 2025. Fitness International announced plans to rapidly scale the concept to 50 locations across major metropolitan areas—including Miami, New York City, Los Angeles, and Houston.
There are now around 20 Club Studio locations open nationwide, with at least five of those locations in Texas.
