Silvia Tcherassi is set to open her first Texas boutique this fall. According to a press release from the River Oaks District team announcing the store debut, the first Houston Silvia Tcherassi boutique is expected to open in the Uptown/River Oaks corridor at 4444 Westheimer Road, Suite F140, within the 18-acre River Oaks District.
“Known for her signature effortless elegance and philosophy of casual glamour, Tcherassi brings to Houston a boutique that reflects her attention to detail and passion for interior design,” the press release announcing the opening reads.
“The space will feature pieces personally curated by the designer, including items from her own private collection, and will uphold the top-notch client service her team is renowned for.”
Marking the brand’s third U.S. location, the new boutique is situated between the new Chloé boutique and A.L.C.
“The boutique will carry her latest ready-to-wear collections, a selection of Atelier pieces, accessories and in-store exclusives created with the Houston client in mind,” the press release details.
What Now Houston reached out to Silvia Tcherassi Global General Manager Maria Lucia Tcherassi, and Chief Operating Officer at Silvia Tcherassi, Mauricio Espinosa Tcherassi, to find out more about the exciting debut and future expansion plans. Tcherassi founded her luxury fashion and boutique brand in 1987 in Barranquilla, Colombia, alongside her mother, Vera. Tcherassi originally trained as an interior designer before transitioning to fashion to pursue new creative expressions. Her background in spatial design heavily influences the structural silhouettes and architectural ruffles of her garments. The brand expanded beyond apparel, launching Tcherassi Hotels, a hospitality brand, with a flagship property in Cartagena, Colombia.
The label remains a family-led business, with the founder’s children, Mauricio and Sofia, helping to guide its modern direction and ready-to-wear collections. There are now 15 Silvia Tcherassi namesake stores located across Europe, North and South America, alongside availability in major department stores and multi-brand boutiques worldwide. The opening coming to the River Oaks District is not only a Texas debut but the third Silvia Tcherassi standalone location in the United States.
